Within this current climate of audience-informed expectations of the artist, the vocally confident, talented, even musically gifted singers lacking pure acting abilities, are judged poorly against innately talented actors with performance finesse. The stage aims to provide young singers with the skills necessary to provide an authentic and believable performance beyond the merely flat imitation of stereotyped gestures.
